The Magnificent Return of Raina

Okay, who missed me? It got a bit busy here, and I haven't been feeling well. Tomcat and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary on April 19.

Aren't we cute?

Also, I turn 31 on May 2. So see. . . I've been busy. Or will be busy. . . Maybe I'm just getting old and forgetful.

Sadly, 13 is still not up for pre-order. It will be soon. A clickable table of contents is a bit tricky. On the plus side, I have a lot new skirts I've made while being pissed at my ebook formatter program. lol

And now, it's giveaway time!

In case you missed it, here is the story trailer for this one:

And the post where I talk about the story can be found here:

And that's all for this post. I have words to write, t-shirts to cut up, and commas to fix.

Congrats to Derek!

So the second givaeway is over. Congrats to Derek!

The next giveaway will be announced Monday. Thank you to everyone who participated. This post, I have a new story trailer for you. The story is "The Other Fish in the Sea." Like "Pale Moon Rising," it was originally published by Aurora Wolf. One of my inspirations for the story was the idea of speed dating. At the time I wrote the story, I was married to my first husband, and I didn't date much before my first marriage. I found the idea of speed dating to be such a strange way of meeting people that part of me wished I'd gotten to do it. Even thought I did date between my first marriage and my current one, I still have yet to go speed dating. I did, however, online date. It's how I met my current husband, who I talk about all the time. I've yet to write a story about online dating, but considering my experiences with people I met other than Barry, such a story would likely be much darker than "The other Fish in the Sea." The story is urban fantasy, which is one of my favorite genres to work in.

So my toe is much better. I'm going to have an awesome scar, but considering it's on my toe, I don't really care. My allergies have seen to it that my head has kept hurting though. So I've kinda looked like this:

Also, I cut my hair. See.

The left side is a pixie cut, but the right side is a layered bob. It's super easy to fix. I'm considering dying it a strange color. My husband's vote is for green.

Speaking of my wonderful hubby, this weekend we're kid-free, so we're going to attempt to get 13 formatted, and it'll be up for pre-order on Smashwords. Wish us luck! I'm off to do a final edit on 13, and then I have some work to do on A Broken Howl before sending it off to my edit, who is the amazing Roz that you met in this post.

And if you need a reminder about the back story for this one, follow the link.

I may be redoing the story trailer for this one to include the special cover I made for it. I like it a lot, and mine art major husband likes it too. . . which means a lot.

DT (my laptop) is working great now that he's running only Ubuntu and doesn't have nasty Windows 8 on there too bogging him down. Skynet (my desktop) will be needing a new HD before she is running. Luckily, DT is an awesome ass computer. It's a little cramped on my desk. I actually had to clean the damn thing, but it didn't stay that way for long. I think what I need is an adjustable wall mount for my desktop.

A Broken Howl will hopefully be going to my editor this week. I'm a little behind schedule because of computer issues.

Hopefully this week, 13 will be available for pre-order on Smashwords!I know you're all sitting there asking, "What about Amazon?" Honestly, I dislike Amazon. lol. Eventually, 13 will be on Amazon, but it likely will not be available for pre-order there. Why? Because Amazon is a pain in the ass. It'll be on there hopefully on release day though. Have I mentioned Amazon annoys me? Amazon annoys me. I've heard much better things about pre-order for Smashwords, so hopefully it'll go smoothly.

I also have stuff to cut up this week. My recon pile is threatening to takeover my workspace. That means I need to cut some stuff up. I also have things to make for an event with a friend this weekend. We're going to a concert where they spray you with paint, so we have to wear white.

I've also been rather busy being a mom this pass week. For those who don't know, I have two kids who I refer to as my "monkies." Why? Because they commonly act like mischievous little creatures. They're often up to something.

And last but not least, I've been having migraines on and off again. Thank you bi-polar Texas weather. What hasn't been helping is this bird that has decided to move in by our bedroom window. I think it might be a mocking bird because it's copying the sound of my alarm clock. The bird needs to migrate.
